Hi there! My name is Monica Sharpe— I am the owner and founder Sharpe Staging and Design. I have loved home decor and design since I was young. There is just something about a clean and aesthetically pleasing space and home that I find so calming. As a former Real Estate Agent, I know just how important staging can be when it comes to selling your home. What started as a creative hobby quickly became a passion—and then a thriving business built on hard work, vision, and teamwork.
I’ve always had an eye for beauty and design—whether it was creating the perfect look for a client as a professional makeup artist or walking into a space and instantly imagining how it could feel more inviting. For over eight years, I worked as a freelance makeup artist, building my business from the ground up through creativity, hard work, and a love for helping people feel their best.
With a background in customer service, sales, and real estate, I’ve always been drawn to both the people and the process behind making a home stand out. During my time as a real estate agent, I saw firsthand how design could completely transform a property’s presentation and help buyers connect emotionally to a space. That experience planted a seed that never really left me and I realized I wanted to be on the ‘other side’ helping agents and sellers.
After the pandemic, I decided it was finally time to take that passion seriously. What started as a small side project quickly grew into something much bigger. I launched this business from my couch with 4 kids under the age of5—storing inventory in a spare bedroom and staging homes one project at a time. Before long, that dream turned into a thriving staging company serving Reno, Sparks, and the surrounding areas.
Today, my husband and I work side by side, blending design and logistics to create spaces that inspire buyers and help homes sell faster. Together, we’ve staged over $40 million in real estate since launching, and each project is a reminder of how far we’ve come.
Our approach is simple: create spaces that feel like home. We believe staging is more than furniture—it’s about emotion, flow, and helping buyers envision their next chapter. With a neutral, timeless aesthetic and a passion for detail, we transform every home we touch.
